This is your community centre. Start a group, join a club, lead an activity.
We want to hear everyone’s ideas about how we can use this space, and we always need more people to get involved. If you’ve got an idea, pop it into our suggestion box, or sign up to be a volunteer with one of our existing activities.
Volunteer roles available
We always have a range of volunteer roles available at the Old Library. All of them will help you gain experience and build your CV – and you’ll meet new people locally and enjoy being part of our team.

Our gardening committee organises our food growing garden in the grounds of the Old Library. We envision a place where people who might not have an opportunity to grow vegetables can come and tend raised vegetable beds and pick up produce for their own use and leave some for other local people. We intend to make the site wheelchair-accessible and use green ways of cultivating vegetable, herbs and fruit. Gardening Club at The Old Library is on Friday, 10-12.
