Song, Dance and Toast at Wassailing in The Old Library

Local artist Thea Soltau and her accordion player friend Leo took guests of The Old Library through songs and dances traditional for Wassailing

We sang, we drank traditional apple “lambswool” drink and had Christmas cake

We went to wake up and toast the fruit trees by The Old Library under the clear starry sky.

And here are our trees: A cherry donated by the late Anne James and a bramley apple donated by Mary Clear of Incredible Edible Todmorden, all ready for the growing season
